Do guests need internet?
No internet connection is required simply to receive traditional DIRECTV satellite programming through DRE. Your hotel may still need internet for other operations — guest Wi-Fi, property management systems, staff connectivity, streaming, security systems and other business requirements. Does every room need a receiver?
Yes. The DRE configuration is designed around individual guest-room receivers. Each participating TV connects to its own DIRECTV receiver, which is what lets rooms watch programming independently. Does DRE require a satellite dish?

Can DRE work with my existing coax wiring?
